High schooler Frank Abagnale, Jr. played by Leonardo DiCaprio idolizes his father who is in trouble with the IRS. When his parents split, Frank runs to Manhattan, in awe of getting his dad out of trouble and getting his parents back together.

Frank worked as a doctor, co-piloet, and as a lawyer all before his 18th birthday. A master of deception, he was also a brilliant forger, whose skill gave him his first real claim to fame.

At the age of 17, Frank Abagnale, Jr. became the most successful bank robber in the history of the U.S. FBI Agent Carl Hanratty played by Tom Hanks does everything in his power to capture Frank and bring him to justice, but Frank is always one step ahead of him.
